These are my first attempt at calla lilies. Not quite there yet, but it’s getting closer! Flowers are a lot harder than expected. Especially very specific-looking flowers, like calla lilies. I honestly believe that you need a real live flower by your side when making them from sugar. It’ll make everything so much easier, because guessing what the flowers looks like in your head somehow always makes the flowers come out just a bit distorted.
Here’s a small decorated heart piece that I tried out. The difficult part is assembling the elements together. The “glue” doesn’t immediately harden, so trying to stand the pieces together, while guessing when is the right time to “let go,” proved to be more difficult when actually put into action.
